Daniela De Jesus Is Writing You A Letter

Slim Jean Lean: Kempt gives us the us the guidelines on how one might want their jeans to fit. This isn’t one of those articles that’ll embarass you by making you realize how wrong you’ve been doing it. This is merely a reminder that it comes down to what you feel like doing.

Cruel Summer is the name of Kanye’s highly anticipated G.O.O.D. album. Mr. West has a knack for making you feel like you’re following a story and this is might be very similar to Runaway. Hopefully DONDA has recruited some acting talent to give Kanye pointers because regardless of how much I love the guy, he’s no Giancarlo Esposito.

Patent Wars: The struggle between Apple and Android rages on. If you’ve been drooling over the HTC One X or the HTC Evo 4G LTE then you might want to know that HTC has to begin shipping custom builds to the US so they don’t infringe on one of Apples patents. The sad part is how petty the accusations are. But that’s how the games played

Hip Hop Conspiracy Theories

Conspiracy theories are fun and make you say “Wow, pretty cool…”. That’s just about it. It kind of kills me when people decide they want to focus way more on these kind of things instead of events taking place in front of their very eyes. Even if they are real conspiracies, it’s ultimately a person’s own choice when it comes to what music they listen to or who they decide to kill. I’m sure I’m preaching to the choir but there are unfortunately way too many people out there who think living by the lyrics they listen to in their favorite song is smart. Ah well.

Japanese Youth In Revolt, 1964

The 60s weren’t just a time of change in America, the whole world was going through phases. The outlook on life from Japanese culture, or Shinto, is quite different from that of America. The kids during those times were confused and not getting enough answers and we all know that usually leads to some variation of rebellion. Young Japanese adults in particular have a unique way of sticking it to the man. Many of them don’t agree with what is expected of them as they get older so they make sure statements are made while they still can be. Even today, the younger crowd in Japan is notorious for going all out in the “fuck you, I do what i want” department. You have to visit the gallery shot by LIFE’s Michael Rougier and see the rest of the moving pictures to get a sense of awareness of what they were feeling during those tough times.

Pokemon Black & White 2

I wasn’t initially excited about this game when first hearing about it. It felt like they were running out of ideas and decided they’d release something as unoriginal as the first Black & White. The fourth generation games were arguably the better of the two and many felt as though Game Freak let their fans down by not delivering the same great experience in the fifth. I still liked both games because I’m just not a hard person to please. After seeing pictures of the upcoming Black & White 2 that’ve been leaked I noticed there were the gym leaders from the past games in the mix. That was enough to convince me that I’m getting this game. Bringing gym leaders like Brock and Giovanni back was a great idea so if you think it’s somehow more acceptable to play the older versions online or from an emulator instead of buying the actual game, you’re wrong because the old games suck in comparison to the new ones. Except for maybe Silver and Gold, those were gems.

I’m Talkin Kim K

What’s with all the hate over this girl? She has to be one of the most despised women in Hollywood but the reasons aren’t really good or fair. Yea, so she’s a wealthy girl who gets wealthier for doing just about nothing. Welcome to America. What I don’t get why does she has to catch all of the flack from the media when there are so many others who are just as useless as her. Kim doesn’t look like a mean person or even a snob. Okay, so she likes attention but most people do. Compared to us non-celebs she definitivly has an ego, but at least Kim doesn’t put on that bullshit “I’m just like you” facade just so we like her. She actually comes off as a bit cooler and more down to earth than a lot of actors and musicians people obsess over. I didn’t watch her show but I often overheard it while in the kitchen as my sister watched it. She doesn’t strike me as someone who should be hated. Is it because she has a phat ass, a sextape, or because she dates a lot of black guys? A combination of all three and more? Can someone out there give me a good reason to dislike this person?

The Way I Dress

The Way I Dress is a series of short films that highlights how some of the most respected names in New York dress. This video shows Waris Ahluwalia getting ready for his day. When I first heard of the guy and learned that he was Indian American I asked myself why there aren’t as many other Indian Americans as fashion forward as he is. There are probably a lot somewhere but I rarely see them. You can the rest of the people who are featured in the series on Chris Floyd’s website linked below.
